Welcome to The Flower Shed, my name is Harriet and I am a qualified florist. I created my floristry business in 2018 after deciding to follow my dreams of becoming a florist. The Flower Shed is based at my families farm on the outskirts of Thornbury, South Gloucestershire.
I have been fortunate to grow up on the farm since my parents bought the property when I was young. I've loved growing up on a farm and being outdoors. I found my love of floristry through being a member of my local Young Farmers Club, taking part in the Floral Art Competitions. Qualifying at county level most years has lead me to the National Federation of Young Farmers Club National Finals several times. I was placed 2nd in the intermediate age category in 2018.
I worked in a florist shop for a couple of years whilst studying Equine Business Management (horses being another love of mine and being lucky enough to have my own growing up and currently). After a few years of trying to find Floristry training I travelled to Bridgewater, where I studied at Cannington College and qualified with a City & Guilds full Diploma in Floristry.
I then set up my floristry business which has always been a goal of mine.
I make Bouquets, Arrangements, Funeral Tributes and Wedding Designs. All designs are made to order so please contact The Flower Shed to place an order. Many of my floral creations are 'inspired by the countryside' as this is where my love of floristry began. Local Delivery is available or bouquets can be posted further afield to addresses in England & Wales.
